Arts Alliance Media (AAM), the global leader in cinema software and services, is delighted to announce that Head of Cinema Products, Danny Jeremiah, has been elected to the Board of Governors of the CTC, the global cinema technology network. Danny joins Patrick von Sychowski (Celluloid Junkie) and James MacFarlane (20th Century Fox) as the newest members of the team and will work alongside them to promote the value of technology to the global cinema industry. Danny gained an appreciation for the importance of perfect picture and sound to the cinema experience when he first began his journey in the industry fitting out independent cinemas with new digital equipment. Ten years later, he brings this experience as well as extensive knowledge in software and automation to the group.
Richard Mitchell (Harkness Screens), President of CTC, noted “The appointment of Danny, Patrick and James adds incredible dynamism to the team and we’re delighted to have them on board. Their contributions to some of the key projects the team are undertaking have already been enormous and we look forward to working with them over the coming months and years.” Danny said “I’m honoured to have been asked to join the CTCs Board of Governors. I’m excited to continue the great work that’s been done on educating the industry, and extending that to grass-roots campaigns at colleges and universities to strengthen our ties there. My personal mission on the board will be ensuring our industry continues to attract superb new technical and engineering talent in what is an incredibly competitive employment market.” CTC is an independent not-for-profit membership organisation that provides guidance and support, and engages in a number of global activities aimed at improving the cinema experience. These include training courses, lectures, technical handbooks, educational visits, seminars, professional certifications, and the publication of one of the industry’s leading technical journals, Cinema Technology Magazine.
