Christie, participated in the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) 2014, which took place at the Pavilion Convention Centre, Jupiters Hotel & Casino at Gold Coast, Australia, from October 12-16.
Christie is showcased its state-of-the-art cinema and audio solutions, which include the Christie Solaria One+ digital cinema projection solution, as well as Christie Vive Audio that offers truly rich, dynamic and detailed sound. On display are various Christie Vive Audio speakers of varying combinations, including LA1 and LA3 screen channel speakers, S215 and S115 subwoofers, LA3S for wall surround, and LA3C for ceiling surrounds, as well as Class D amplifiers. In addition, a Christie QuadHD84 LCD panel featuring full QuadHD resolution (3840 x 2160) and true 60Hz refresh update rate is used to showcase various content, including a video of New Farm Cinemas in Brisbane, which has become the first cinema in Australia to be equipped with Christie Vive Audio.

Bosworth joined a team of local industry experts who represent the cinema distribution, exhibition and industry technology sectors for a panel discussion titled “The Future Looks Bright” which took place on October 14. The event examined the ever-changing, fast-moving and dynamic business and panellists shared their perspectives on what the future holds for the cinema industry in Australia and New Zealand.
In conjunction with AIMC, a group of special guests were given an exclusive demonstration of Christie Vive Audio acclaimed for its truly rich, dynamic and detailed sound as well as a presentation on Vive Audio’s ribbon driver technology on October 12. Those who attended the event were entertained by the astounding audio, as well as visuals projected from the Christie Solaria CP2215 DLP digital cinema projector.

The session will highlight the technologies behind the innovative Christie Vive Audio, which offers exhibitors the opportunity to provide audiences with the ultimate movie-listening experience, and why it is the best choice for theatres planning to implement Dolby Atmos.
The second workshop, titled “Tomorrow’s Innovation Today: High Performance Xenon Lamps, Christie Duo™ & Laser Projection Technologies”, was presented by Jim Dukes, product manager, Lamps, Duo and Laser.
